STATES WANT TO CHANGE HEALTH CARE                                     I have a problem with those those who are wanting voters to sign a petition for adopting a Missouri constitutional amendment which would negate federal law requiring all persons to enroll in a health insurance plan. This purposed constitutional amendment would be required to be brought to the vote of Missouri voters. Several other states are attempting to change their constitutions.

OK, fine, opt out of any federal requirement for enrollment in health insurance. How do you and others in our state purpose to help people who have lost their jobs or suffered other calamities and have major medical problems, but they cannot get health insurance? Who will fund the treatment? From where will the money come? Our state government does not have the money.

What is your plan to help people receive the medical care they need? Or are you simply willing to leave the ill people to mounting debt and early death?

Fortunately I believe that the U.S. Supreme Court will rule that federal law will supersede state law.
