Phony Patriots

When did many of the Republican Party members become ex-patriots? Where is the party of Lincoln and Reagan? Their incoming leader publicly has more respect and regard for Vladmir Putin former head of KGB, than for our own president.

Trump refuses to acknowledge Russia’s hacking in the presidential election. He holds the word of Putin, and Julian Assange, a sex offender hiding out in an Ecuadorian embassy and a security thief, above our own intelligence agencies.

Daily, he tweets his disregard for these agencies and for these people who dedicate their lives for our society. Of course, he will deny the validity of their reports because they showed the hand of Putin on the election.

Trump attracted many Christians because of their hope that his U.S. Supreme Court appointments will turn America back on the Biblical path; however, his words and actions indicate he lives otherwise.

Now we see Republicans spouting pretzel logic instead of outrage, desperately trying to negotiate the third rail of their own making, but Trump is just for Trump.

More frightening than a straw-man are the masses following him into the muck and mire of anti-American rhetoric.

There will be an end to “Make America Great Again” movement; and those who followed Trump will still be left out and forgotten.
